According to a press release by the MCA has approved the naming of stands has been approved in the name of the Indian skipper alongside prominent names like Sharad Pawar, Ajit Wadekar and Amol Kale as well.

“Today’s decisions reflect our deep respect for the pillars of Mumbai cricket and our determination to build an even stronger future. These stands and this lounge shall forever echo the legacy of those who built Mumbai’s cricketing spirit — brick by brick, run by run," MCA President Ajinkya Naik said in an official statement.
The release mentions that the Rohit Sharma stand will be the Divesh Pavilion 3, while the Grand Stand Level 3 will be named after Sharad Pawar, and the Grand Stand Level 4 will be named after the late Ajit Wadekar.
Rohit Sharma remains a key member in Indian cricket history with his exploits with the bat alongside his leadership, where the Indian team went on to claim their second T20 World Cup title in 2024 and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as well, breaking their 11-year wait for an ICC title.
He also had a key role as a captain in India’s run to the final in the World Test Championship for the 2021-23 cycle and the side narrowly missed out in the final for the next edition as well.
Under his leadership, the Men in Blue had a memorable campaign in the 2023 ODI World Cup played in India, where the side went undefeated till the final hurdle. He also represented the Mumbai Indians, where he has won five titles for the franchise as well.
Rohit will join legendary names like Sunil Gavaskar, Vijay Merchant, Sachin Tendulkar and Dilip Vengsarkar as well. He continues to go strong in the Indian team despite having retired from the T20I format. Yet he is a dominant force in the ODI and Test setup, playing a key role as their opening batter and as captain too.
