Nothing has launched two elegant and intriguing mid -range phones, the phone (3A) and the pro telephone (3A). Although they share of course a lot in common, some key differences could influence you in one way or another.
The basic phone (3A) seems to be an excellent purchase with a capable camera configuration, a unique design and solid specifications. The pro version, however, brings notable upgrades but also a higher price.
So which will turn out to be the best choice? Let's break down the three biggest differences and see what they mean for you.
Nothing phone (3a) vs phone (3a) pro: cameras
The largest phone upgrade (3A) Pro is its camera system.
While the standard phone (3A) has a respectable configuration to triple camera with a main telephoto lens of 50 MP, 50MP 2X and an 8MP Ultrawide, the pro exchange the 2X telephoto lens for a much more powerful 50MP periscope telephotctive.
Trap
For occasional users, the configuration of the camera on the phone (3A) is perfectly well, offering a solid image quality in good lighting and a certain versatility with its objectives. However, if you are in zoom photography or if you want to capture thinner details, the 3X optical zoom on the pro is a major advantage.
In addition, the pro has a higher frontal camera, from a 32 Mp sensor to a 50 MP sensor, which means better selfies and improved details.

That said, unless you frequently use zoom photography or are large on selfies, the additional cost of the pro may not be worth it. The standard phone (3A) is still well for most daily shots.
Nothing phone (3a) vs phone (3a) Pro: Design & Build
The phone (3a) sticks to a more familiar design language, with a plastic frame and a transparent back that looks like its predecessor, the phone (2A). The pro, on the other hand, makes a daring leap with a massive and salient camera bump that dominates the upper half of the aircraft.
While some could like the futuristic look, the additional volume makes it much less attractive and practical. It is embarrassing in the pants pockets, for example, and also waves the phone when placed flat on a table.
Trap
At 211 g, the pro is significantly heavier than the standard phone (3A), which weighs 201g. It may not seem a huge difference on paper, but in hand, the additional weight is completely visible.
Regarding color choices, the standard phone (3A) is available in a more vibrant blue option, in addition to black and white. The pro, however, sticks to black and gray, which can disappoint users looking for a more catchy finish.
If you prefer a more elegant and more comfortable phone to maintain, the standard phone (3A) is the best choice. But the pro could be worth seeing if you are ready to endure the added mass for the improved camera.

Nothing phone (3a) VS Telephone (3A) Pro: Battery and load
The two phones have a 5000mah battery, which is a solid capacity for a mid -range device. However, the battery life depends more than on capacity.
In daily use, the two phones offer excellent longevity, which often lasts up to two days in a single load with moderate use.
Trap
Despite the two phones supporting the 50W wired load, the pro model is actually lacking. The phone (3A) reaches around 70% in half an hour, while the pro reached only 47% at the same time.

None of the two models includes a charger in the box, so you will have to buy a 50W charger compatible separately if you don't already have one. The wireless load is absent on the two models, which is expected in this price range.
Nothing phone (3a) vs phone (3a) pro: other differences
In terms of RAM storage and options, the pro offer 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage as standard, while the basic phone (3A) starts at 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage, although a 12 GB / 256 GB variant is also available.
There are few differences because the two phones have the same 6.77 -inch AMOLED screen, 120 Hz, the Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 chipset, the IP64 rating and other minor specifications.
Nothing phone (3a) vs telephone (3a) pro: price and availability

Verdict
For most people, the phone (3a) is the best deal and we think it is the best phone overall with everything that is considered.
It looks great, works well and has a solid camera configuration without most and the additional cost of the pro.
Unless you specifically want the best telephoto lens camera or the higher selfie camera, there are few reasons to spend more on the pro, especially with its massive and somewhat ugly camera bump.
